Our Story
Let me introduce you to our little family. While small, we are full of heart. We love spending time outdoors, traveling, cooking, and crafting beautiful things out of wood. My husband, daughter, and son-in-law are my whole world.
My passion for woodworking began years ago with my dad. Along with my wonderful mom and the three of us kids, we built our childhood home. I have vivid memories of learning to use a skill saw and hand sand at a young age. Then I met my amazing husband, who shares my love for woodworking. He works on an oil rig but also carves fishing lures and knife handles by hand in his spare time. He’s incredibly talented.
Now, let me tell you the story behind the name. Lily comes from a fun memory with my mom and dad. One year for April Fools’, they planted fresh lilies in brand-new toilets and placed them in each of our yards. (April Fools’ Day is a big deal in our family!) Spruce represents the way we transform raw wood and furniture. It also reminds me of something my dad used to say: “We can spruce that up.” And so, Lily & Spruce Co. was born.
I take great pride in ensuring every project is perfect. My hope is that each piece brings you as much joy as it brings me to create it.
